Safe Harbor Youth & Adult Transition is a home for older teens and young adults who are stepping out of foster care or other systems and into real life-often without the safety net most families provide. We step into that gap with stable housing, steady guidance, and a clear path from "old teenager" to capable young adult.

Residents live in a family-like house, not a dorm or institution. You have your own bed in a shared or private room, shared responsibilities around the home, and adults who are present-not to control you-but to coach, teach, and listen. The atmosphere is respectful and encouraging, with clear expectations about safety, school, work, and visitors. We focus on the practical skills nobody is born knowing. Together, we work on getting a state ID and driver's license, learning how to budget and manage a bank account, cooking simple meals, cleaning a room or shared space properly, and understanding leases, bills, and basic adult paperwork. Our in-house café provides three meals a day so food is consistent while you practice your own kitchen skills at a comfortable pace.

Job placement support helps you build a resume, apply online, prepare for interviews, and keep a work schedule once you're hired. We also provide transportation to school, work, appointments, and essential errands so you are not stuck or forced to choose between safety and getting where you need to go.

Each resident has a personal growth plan that includes education or employment goals, life skills milestones, and regular check-ins. Mentorship-both from staff and from peers a little further along-helps you see that adulthood is not a test you pass or fail in one day. It is a series of small, supported steps.

Our aim is simple: when you leave Safe Harbor, you walk out not just housed, but ready-more confident, more skilled, and more hopeful about the life you are building.
